How to Create a Binance Web3 Wallet? Step-by-Step Setup

Binance has a built-in Web3 wallet in its APP — no need to download a separate wallet app. You can experience DeFi, NFTs, and other decentralized applications right within the Binance APP. If you don't have a Binance account yet, register on Binance first, then download the Binance APP latest version — the Web3 wallet is built right in.

What Is the Binance Web3 Wallet?

The Binance Web3 wallet is a self-custodial wallet built into the Binance APP. Unlike your exchange account on Binance, the Web3 wallet's private keys are controlled by you (encrypted and stored using multi-party computation technology).

With this wallet you can:

  • Manage assets across different blockchains
  • Use decentralized exchanges (DEX) to swap tokens
  • Participate in DeFi to earn yields
  • Browse and purchase NFTs

Steps to Create a Web3 Wallet

Step 1: Update the Binance APP

Make sure your Binance APP is the latest version — older versions may not have the Web3 wallet feature.

Step 2: Find the Web3 Wallet Entry

Open the Binance APP, find the "Web3" or "Wallet" icon in the bottom navigation bar, and tap to enter.

Step 3: Create the Wallet

Tap the "Create Wallet" button. The system will automatically generate a Web3 wallet for you. The whole process is quick — just a few seconds.

Step 4: Back Up the Wallet

After creation, it's strongly recommended to back up your wallet immediately. The Binance Web3 wallet uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation) technology, so the backup process differs from traditional wallets:

  • You can back up the recovery key to the cloud (Google Drive or iCloud)
  • You can also manually export the backup and store it yourself

Be sure to back up — otherwise, if you switch phones or uninstall the APP, your wallet will be unrecoverable.

Basic Web3 Wallet Operations

Funding Your Web3 Wallet

You can transfer coins directly from your Binance exchange account to your Web3 wallet:

  1. On the Web3 wallet page, tap "Deposit"
  2. Select "Transfer from Binance Account"
  3. Choose the coin and network
  4. Enter the amount and confirm

Transfers from your Binance account to the Web3 wallet are fee-free.

Swapping Tokens on a DEX

You can use decentralized exchanges directly within the Web3 wallet:

  1. Tap "Swap"
  2. Select the token pair to swap
  3. Enter the amount and check the exchange rate
  4. Confirm the transaction

Browsing DApps

The Web3 wallet has a built-in DApp browser, allowing you to access various decentralized applications directly without switching to another APP.

Difference Between the Web3 Wallet and Exchange Account

Private Key Management Held by Binance Controlled by you
Use Cases Trading, Earn DeFi, NFTs
Supported Tokens Listed tokens only All tokens on supported chains
Security Platform responsible You are responsible

Security Reminders

  • Back up immediately: Back up your recovery key right after creation
  • Be cautious with approvals: When using DApps, don't grant permissions to untrusted contracts
  • Start small: Test new DApps with small amounts first
  • Watch for phishing: Only access DApps through the Binance APP's built-in browser — don't click unknown links

The Binance Web3 wallet lowers the barrier to entering the Web3 world and is a great starting point for beginners.
